Second Year – Goals, Thoughts & Life Update

Second Year – Goals, Thoughts & Life Update

It’s a new year of Uni with a catch: this year actually counts towards my future.  Most would find this terrifying, (most includes me), but there’s a little part of me that thinks it makes everything I’m doing seem more… worth it.
You see, with everything that’s been going on in my personal life since around March earlier this year, I’ve really learnt to put a positive spin on everything that I can.  After all, as one of my favourite quotes states:

“Life isn’t about waiting for the storm to pass, it’s about learning to dance in the rain”.

Yes, this next year of my life is going to be a lot of work, and I probably don’t even know what’s about to hit me, but it’s a chance to prove myself, and push myself harder than I have before.  I’m a sucker for a challenge and I am my own biggest competitor, so in a weird way, this year might actually be quite fulfilling.
This year I plan to work a lot harder on organisation… I was pretty good at it last year, but now that I’ve found my footing I can really push myself.  I’m going in with a positive mindset, a working attitude, and a plan for maximising my time without overworking myself.  Things take time and practice, but the more you work, the easier things get, so you may as well get working.
As for my blog?  I’m going to try and still stick to posting 3 times a week… I‘ve scheduled basically all of my posts for September in advanced, just so I can take it easy and focus on Uni for the first few weeks of the year, but I’ll confirm how often I’ll post once I’ve had time to settle in October.  I don’t think I’ve mentioned it on here, but I’m actually one of the Deputy Editors for my University’s official newspaper this year, so I also have to factor that in to my timetable.  However the content will never stop completely; I already have some plans for future content on here… maybe some organisation posts/Uni term breakdowns?  I don’t know, I’d appreciate any ideas/feedback in the comments.
New years at school or Uni can be pretty scary but when the angle you’re looking at is daunting, try and look at it from a different one.  Obviously, not everything in life can be looked at from a positive perspective, but the more things you can take in that light the better.  Sometimes we can’t control situations, but we can control how we react to them.
Hope you’re all doing well!  Are you going back to Uni/school?  How’s it going?  Tell me all about it in the comments,
Lots of love,
Jas xx
