For me, Christmas is the time of giving and appreciating the smaller things and spreading a lot of love, and I was trying to figure out a way to translate that into my blog. Therefore, I figured why not spread the love and talk about some bloggers and Youtubers that are killing it right now and deserve so much more recognition than they’re getting! There are so many blogs and Youtube channels that I read/watch regularly, but these are the ones that have really been standing out to me recently and I felt that they needed more appreciation…
Jade Mayhead (Beauty & Lifestyle)
Aside from being an absolute sweetheart and incredibly supported, Jade has really been putting her all into her blog recently and honestly it shows! Not only has she been participating in Blogmas and daily blogging everyday this December (Which is absolutely amazing dedication!), but she has also kept up her Instagram with the same effort. Seriously, check out her Instagram page here too, because I’m not usually one for a theme, but the effort she’s put in really translates and I’m so impressed with all of it! If you like beauty and (at the moment) wishlists, go head over, she’s amazing!
Here’s one of her Blogmas posts, all about different Christmas cocktails, which I, a lover of cocktails, greatly appreciated.
Eni’s Struggling Student Survival Guide (Honest Thoughts & Lifestyle)
Eni from Struggling Student Survival Guide is amazing because of how raw and honest her blog is. She documents her struggles and her emotions and she’s really good at writing them, it’s like you dive inside her brain. She’s just set some goals for 2018 and is going to document her journey so it’s the perfect time to give her a follow! She’s honest, motivational and cute as a button (Seriously, she’s actually the most positive person I know – I’ve known her for 3 years and never once seen her angry) and this all translates into her blog.
My favourite post she’s done is the one where she spoke about being addicted to excitement because I’d never thought about this before and it struck a nerve within me, very thought provoking.
The North Left Blog (Lifestyle, Health and Wellbeing)
I came across the North Left Blog after she commented on my post on racism (found here). She wrote that she really resonated with it and it got her to see things clearly, which I was incredibly happy with as that was the goal. However, she then wrote a response post about addressing her privilege as a white woman and honestly it was so amazing. As a black girl, I can obviously only see racism from one perspective, but this post was so moving and allowed me to see it from the perspective of someone that I had not considered. It was so beautifully written and honest! Her blog is really something to watch out for!
Check out her post on white privilege here.
The Happy Larkspur (Photography, Nature & Crafts)
Natasha is actually the most supportive person I’ve met since I’ve started blogging. That sounds like an exaggeration but it’s really not she’s actually unbelievably supportive and she deserves just as much support thrown her way too. Her photos are beautiful and looking through her blog is so soothing; she immerses herself in nature and you really feel like you’re there in the moment. If you like photography then this one’s for you!
I love the vibrancy of the flowers in her colours of Christmas post – her photos are absolutely gorgeous.
Becca Jayne (Beauty & Occasional Lifestyle)
I’ve been watching Becca for a few months now and honestly her videos make me smile so much. She has such a bubbly personality and she honestly seems like the sweetest person! I love her chirpiness and how down to earth she is so if you like makeup and hauls and the occasional video with her sisters I recommend giving her a check out! She recently got to 2000 subscribers but she honestly deserves so many more so if you’re looking for a cute beauty youtuber go and subscribe!
I don’t really have a favourite video honestly I love so many, so check out one of her recent ones here.
Phoebe HB (Beauty – Mainly Project Pans & Declutters)
Phoebe has been at it for around a year and a half and honestly her dedication and persistence shines through in the quality of her videos. Not only does she do pretty amazing Makeup tutorials, but over the last year or so she’s been partaking in a massive makeup declutter and panning a bunch of her makeup products, and it’s quite therapeutic to watch. I appreciate people that consistently work hard to produce content so much, and Phoebe is one of these people. She recently got to 1000 subscribers but she deserves so much more! Go give her a watch!
Her project pan series is probably one of the big stand out ones on her channel, so I’ll link the video that kicked it all off here
Asia Walker (Lifestyle and Vlogs)
When I started blogging, Asia was one of the first small channels I found (I feel like, due to the Youtube algorithm, I unfortunately only find small Youtubers through Twitter and the blogging community), and I’m so glad that I did! She’s so cute and very entertaining to watch, and she’s also great evidence of someone who works incredibly hard. She vlogs quite a lot of her mini adventures, as well as some hauls and some makeup/product testing, and her channel is a great reflection of a down to earth person living her life.
I’m a big fan of her hauls, check out her Romwe one here
Other Notable Mentions…
I love supporting people that are really putting there all into it at the moment, and honestly there were too many to choose from but I didn’t want to make this post too long, so here is a small list of some others who are killing it, be it on their blog, Instagram or Twitter, just in case you wanted anymore to check out…
BLOGS: Millenial Rants, Annas Adventures, Cherishing Flo, and Her Daring Thoughts
TWITTER: Culture Eighteen and Travel in Wander,
INSTAGRAM: Blog About Hanney, Livie Grace, and Saffron Watson
I’ve probably forgotten a bunch of people that I wanted to mention a bunch of people, because honestly there are so many people that deserve more recognition, but these were the ones that were stuck in my head! Who are you loving at the moment? I’m always looking for more people to follow!
Lots of love,
