12 Days of Blogging – Day 12 | The Future of My Blog

12 Days of Blogging – Day 12 | The Future of My Blog

I’ve written about how amazing this last year of blogging has been for me in like a million and one posts (Specifically the ones here and here).  However, I thought in my final post of the 12 Days of Blogging I would explain what I intend to do with my blog for the next year.
You see, for me, last year was somewhat of a test run.  I had absolutely no idea what I was doing, I played with techniques and niches and learnt from more accomplished bloggers (Jenny in Neverland is a great one to read) and just kind of… gave it a go.  Now here I am, one year later, still absolutely loving it, so I figured this year I’m going to see how far I can push myself.
Last year I put my all into my writing, however I didn’t really put myself out there until the end of the year.  I felt really cringey and awkward promoting my blog and reaching out to companies because I didn’t think that I was “good enough”.  This year I’m working on being a lot prouder of myself, and within that I plan on making this blog go even further than it has.  I’m going to promote my posts more, maybe schedule some tweets, take more interest in some of the PR companies that email me, and maximise my social media.  I want to get better at Instagram, I want to use my Facebook page (I created a Facebook Page last week – Go give it a like here and I’ll love you forever xo).  I don’t want to shove my work in everyone’s face, but I’d like to give more of a little nudge towards it because honestly I work so hard on it.  People tend to say that if you want something, you have to go out and get it, so I’m going to stick by that and go out of my way to get more views to my blog.
I don’t ever want to get to the place where I fixate on numbers, because that’s not who I am, but I figured that I may as well see if I can improve in the next year or so.  I don’t know what will happen from it, and right now it really is nothing more than a passion project of minebut it’s brought me so much in the last year, I may as well see what else I can make it bring.  I’ve also already got some plans for 2018, including some pretty cool blog events so I may have a vlogging channel going live soon… More to follow on that soon…
Aaaaand that concludes my 12 Days of Blogging: where I daily blogged for the 12 days after Christmas!  I’m going to go back to my schedule of Monday, Wednesday and Saturday (Starting Monday), and plan to stick to that if University permits it!  If you missed any of my 12 Days posts, you can find the whole series here, and if you read them all I hope you enjoyed them!  Throughout the week, I did posts on:

Have you got any big plans for next year – blogging or otherwise?
Lots of love,
Jas xx

YES GIRL YES! I totally get what you mean about self-promo (I hate it too) but taking pride in your work is definitely not a bad thing!xx

Thank you! I’m still not used to self-promo but I’m trying to be more confident in it! We should both be proud of our work!

Enjoyed this! It’s really important to put yourself out there and promote yourself or people won’t know that you’re there!

I can’t wait to see how far you grow! I’ve never reached out to companies before! I’m not even sure I know how or what companies to reach out to , but that’s something I would also like to work on this year! Great post girl!

Awwww thank you, I’m glad you enjoyed it! I’m a novice at reaching out to companies so can’t really offer advice, but good luck!
