My little sister is a very cute very talented teen (16) who goes to a fancy UK arts and performance school called The Brit School. There, she studies Interactive Digital Design which I don’t know the ins and outs of but is essentially art and graphic design and all things digital. Every time I go home, she shows me her work and draws stuff for me (You’ve probably seen her work on my blog a few times), and last time she mentioned how cute one of her designs would look on a phone case. “I’d love to design phone cases someday”, she said. And then boom. An email from Caseapp * arrived in my inbox a couple of months later.
Caseapp are a website that specialise in phone cases and laptop skins. They sell some of their own, which promise to be high quality and come in some very cute designs. However, their real charm lies in the ability to create your own custom phone case. You can upload images, create collages, add text and choose between matte or glossy. It’s all in your hands. So, it came as the perfect opportunity for my sister to design me some phone cases…
Caseapp gave me the opportunity to order 3 phone cases, so I set my sister the work, asking for one winter one, one summer one and one for herself (Being whatever she wanted). Apart from that, I gave her a colour scheme and creative freedom, waiting to be surprised with the final product. On seeing her final designs, I was so ridiculously excited. So I uploaded them onto Caseapp’s website and waited (im)patiently for them to arrive.
The actual design process on Caseapp’s website was very easy. However, all I really did was upload a pre-designed image and make sure it was all in the right place. Once ordered, they emailed me telling me that my images were quite low quality, and gave me the option to send them new, higher quality versions, which I thought was a nice, caring touch. However, I chose not too as I was incredibly busy and stressed and my sister had exams, so I was a little worried about what the final quality would be when they arrived…
The delivery said it would take 3-10 days, but mine came within 4. I was incredibly impressed! It was a small padded envelope that fit through the letterbox, and inside, all 3 cases were in a small silky drawstring bag just big enough to fit them. It was economical, cute packaging, and I was a fan.
I am so in love with them. As well as filled with immense pride and love for my sister. Seriously. I almost cried with pride. I didn’t even know that was a thing.
They had warned me that the quality may not be the best, but I have no complaints! The images came out great and they look amazingly professional. If I hadn’t told you, I don’t think you’d be able to tell that it wasn’t a professional phone case. The cases themselves seem incredibly tough and durable, but they don’t make your phone bulky – exactly what I was trying to avoid. I ordered one matte finish and two glossy finishes so that I could get a taste of both. I feel like I prefer the glossy as they look cute, shiny and optically look a little slicker, but the matte one is also very nice! In general, they are great phone cases.
Yes, that’s right, I have a Discount code! It’s not affiliated so I don’t get anything at all for it, you just happen to get 20% off – and a case that arrives in time for Christmas! The code is only valid until the 22nd December, but you may as well!
Use code THOUGHTSFROMJASMINE20 for 20% off!
Now comes the exciting bit… The chance for you to win your own phone case! I wanted to make this giveaway special as I don’t do them very often on my blog. Therefore, you have a chance to win an extra special custom phone case from Caseapp! Not only that, but your phone case, much like my one directly above this, will have a custom drawing of you on it, done by my sister.
Once the winner is picked, we’ll have a small conversation where you discuss some of your favourite pictures of you, your favourite colour, and then my sister will draw you your own phone case. From there, the image will be sent your way and you can upload and order the phone case from Caseapp yourself! (With a code that gives it to you for free).
There are many ways that you can enter, and each different way guarantees you another entry. However, the only things that you must do is:
Each of the following counts as an extra entry:
THIS GIVEAWAY ENDS AT 11:59 ON THE 28TH DECEMBER 2018
This was a long one, but I look forward to the entries! Also, let me know what you think of the cases!
Lots of love,
